Dessert slices are 2" x 1" x 3" high and your venue may be able to serve with extras such as cream. |
Do I need to have a heavier flavoured cake on the bottom tier to support multi-tiered cakes? No, multi-tiered cakes can all be different flavours and you can have any flavour cake as the bottom tier. Our cakes have wooden skewers and a cake board between each tier to support the weight. |

Can you ice and decorate a cake my grandmother / aunt makes? Yes we can. However, our price is based on cakes being 3" tall to enhance your design and decorations. If your supplied cake is not this tall, there will be an small extra fee as we will have to physically make your cake taller which involves extra time and work. |
Can you make and ice a cake with real flowers for my wedding? Yes we can. Ask about our packages which include your cake and wedding bouquets to keep the theme running through your wedding.
If you would like real flowers on your cake and have already booked a florist, we suggest you have your florist arrange the flowers to keep the theme running through your wedding. We can liaise with your florist to arrange delivery time before they arrive at the reception venue so they can place your flowers on the cake. Alternatively, we can pick up your cake flowers from your florist and arrange them on your cake, however, this involves extra cost. |
How do I keep my sugar flowers / decorations after my celebration? Most of our sugar flowers and decorations can be kept for many years, in the correct environment - a warm, dry spot away from sunlight, e.g. a china cabinet in the loungeroom is usually ideal. |
Are all cake flavours suitable for children? No, our mud cakes are deliciously flavoured with rum and not suitable for children. |
How do you calculate a price? Our prices are based on the number of pieces required, coffee or dessert sized slices and the number of hours involved in creating our designs.
A number of our cakes are hand sculpted by us, which involves extra time. The more sculpted and detailed the design, the more expensive the cake.
As prices vary greatly due the amount of time involved in the decorations, and also the type of flowers you would like, we can work with you to develop your perfect cake or bouquet for your budget. However you should keep in mind, that your cake will be the focal point of your event, and will remain in your guest's minds for years to come. |
How do I book my cake / flowers? A deposit of 30% is required to confirm your order and we will email / mail a confirmation letter. Payment can either be made over several months / weeks leading to your event, or in full 10 days prior to your event. |
